Gaynor Roger gets things done. In her "life before law", she travelled, stopping to take a job when funds ran low. She even made it to Antarctica to see the penguins for herself, before entering law school! That same energy and determination now shapes Gaynor's legal career.
An alumnus of Windsor Law school, Gaynor successfully completed the joint LL.B./J.D. Program offered by the Faculties of Law of the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy, which confers both the Canadian LL.B. law degree and the American J.D. degree.
Gaynor articled at Shibley Righton LLP and now maintains a general litigation practice. While her focus is in the areas of commercial litigation, municipal liability, professional negligence and education law, Gaynor has experience representing clients in a broad spectrum of other areas, such as estates, human rights and tax matters.
Gaynor has gained valuable advocacy experience through conducting trials in a variety of courts and administrative tribunals. She has appeared as counsel or co-counsel in the Superior Court of Justice, Court of Appeal, the Tax Court of Canada, various education tribunals, the Human Rights Tribunal (Ontario), the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Assessment Review Board, the Ontario Municipal Board and the Child and Family Services Review Board. She has also represented her clients on appeals and judicial reviews before appellate courts including the Court of Appeal.
Gaynor lives in a house of boys. Her two young sons keep her entertained nights and weekends and happily partake in family vacations to destinations off the beaten track.
