Michael commenced his legal career in Montreal at a medium-sized law firm. In the beginning of 2008, he joined the business law and real estate law groups of Shibley Righton.
Michael graduated with a common law degree from the Université de Montréal in 2003 and with his civil law degree in 2002 from the University of Ottawa. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in Medical Ethics from the University of Toronto in 1999. Presently, Michael is in the finishing stages of his Master’s degree in business law focusing on secured transactions. In addition to his academic pursuits, he fostered his interest in finance by successfully obtaining the Canadian Securities Course certificate.
Outside of work, Michael can often be found skiing, golfing, playing hockey, softball or squash. In addition, he also enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading, cooking and when time permits, traveling.
Prior to moving to Toronto, Michael was regularly involved in the Montreal community serving as a committee member on the Royal Victoria Hospital Research Ethics Board and on the Board of Directors of the Lord Reading Law Society. Michael has actively begun establishing links to various Toronto community organizations.
