Barry Goldman

Barry Goldman brings something to the table that dispels the typical stereotype of a lawyer - empathy and understanding. As an entrepreneur and former business owner himself, Barry has "been there and done that". He knows well the difficulties faced by hard-working business people today, be they individuals, sole proprietors, partnerships, or corporations large and small. Barry understands the headaches and anxieties his clients face and responds accordingly to their needs.

Barry's personal approach provides a level of service that makes a real meaningful difference. Effective, Expeditious and Accountable; that's his philosophy. His personal one-on-one approach includes his clients in the loop right from the outset of taking on a new matter; involving them in the process from A to Z, and following up on a regular basis, even well after the ultimate resolution.

"My goal is to advocate on behalf of my clients, and the best way I can do that, is by regular communication in order to keep them informed of the events as they unfold, provide them with my professional opinion, advise them of the alternatives, and carry out their instructions. We work collaboratively to a satisfactory conclusion. First and foremost I'm accountable to my client and that means that my only objective is to resolve my client's matter as favourably and quickly as is reasonably possible in all of the circumstances."

Barry's client list continues to expand because of his unique and refreshing approach. "I don't believe in offering anything less than the best possible service to my clients", Barry explains. "That doesn't necessarily mean that it costs more, it just means better results, and total client satisfaction".
When Barry is not advocating on behalf of his clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife Debby and their two grown children, a daughter Nessa and a son Noah. They travel frequently, and enjoy hiking, bicycling, golfing, skiing, and hockey. Their more sedate interests include a fine meal, a great bottle of wine, a good book, and the company of family and friends.

Barry is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, and the Canadian Bar Association (Ontario). His many community service interests include involvement in his Synagogue as a member of the Board of Governors, Co-chair of the Constitution Committee, and a past member of the men’s choir; and, in June 2008, he will be assuming the reins as Treasurer and Senior Officer.
