Real Estate Clerk (5+ years experience)

Shibley Righton LLP is seeking an experienced Real Estate Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and grow within the department. 

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:

  • Ability to manage real estate files, both residential and commercial, from start to finish, including preparing necessary correspondence, ordering searches, requisition letters, title insurance, follow up on post-closing matters, reporting to clients and lenders, etc.
  • Ability to handle mortgage files
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately and effectively
  • Ability to handle time sensitive matters
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Pleasant and professional disposition with clients
  • Strong computer skills – Teraview, Unity, Word, Excel,

Legal Assistant / Administrative Assistant - Condo Law (3+ years experience) 

SHIBLEY RIGHTON LLP is seeking a Legal Assistant to work in our Condominium Law Group (solicitor side) to work with Associates.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a positive attitude who is a team player. Candidates must be thoroughly computer literate and comfortable working in a paperless environment.

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:

  • Create, edit and finalize legal documents
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately and effectively
  • Strong organization skills and meticulous with follow up
  • High attention to detail
  • Takes initiative and anticipates the lawyers' needs
  • Ability to communicate directly with clients in a professional manner
  • Document Management System (DMS) experience an asset
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in preparation of monthly accounts & billing
  • Discretion in dealing with sensitive client matters
