Junior Accounting Clerk – Toronto Office (Entry level position)
Shibley Righton LLP is seeking a Junior Accounting Clerk to work within their busy Accounting Department. The Junior Accounting Clerk will provide day to day support on all accounting related tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has an interest in Accounting and is a quick learner. Training will be provided.
This position reports to the Controller. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Assist in reviewing and posting monthly accounts.
· Post daily general receipts.
· Monthly bank reconciliations
· Preparing wire payments.
· Ordering bank drafts.
· Bank Runs.
· Prepare month end reports.
· Various accounting reconciliations.
· Back up to Trust and Payables.
· Journal entries, Write-offs and WIP transfers.
· Deal with inquiries from staff and lawyers.
· Filing of accounting records.
· Other duties as assigned.
Excellent organizational and communication skills and an eye for detail are a must. Strong computer skills including intermediate knowledge of excel is an asset. You are a team player and will work closely with the other clerks in accounting. Must be comfortable interacting with partners and management on a regular basis. Experience in a professional environment is an asset.

Litigation Assistant (2+ years experience)
