BIO

Luis A. Hernandez is an associate at Shibley Righton LLP and works exclusively with the condominium law group. Luis graduated from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law in 2016. He summered and articled with a boutique condominium law firm and was called to the Bar in 2017. Luis went on to be rehired as an associate and continued to develop his practice.

Luis’s practice has involved him in all aspects of condominium law. He has consistently advised Boards of Directors on among other things: corporate governance, compliance matters, contracts, by-laws and rules.

Luis is greatly involved in the condominium community and sits on the Board of Directors of the Windsor-Essex Chapter of the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI). He is also a member of CCI Toronto’s Communications Committee and is a member of the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO). Luis has often written for condominium publications and has presented to directors and property managers on legal topics related to condominiums.

Having been raised in Canada, the United States, and Nicaragua, Luis is an avid traveler who enjoys exploring the world and, in particular, meeting new people. He also enjoys cooking, reading a good book, and everything tech.

Luis is also fluent in Spanish.
