Gaynor Roger

Gaynor articled at Shibley Righton LLP and maintains a general litigation practice. With a focus in commercial litigation, municipal liability, professional negligence and education law, she also has experience representing clients in other areas such as condominium law, construction litigation, estates litigation, human rights and tax matters.

After earning her B.A. at the University of Toronto, she completed the joint LL.B./J.D. Program offered by the Faculties of Law of the University of Windsor and University of Detroit Mercy, which confers both the Canadian LL.B. law degree and American J.D. degree.

Gaynor has gained valuable advocacy experience arguing complex motions and conducting trials in a variety of courts and administrative tribunals. She has appeared as counsel or co-counsel in the Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, Court of Appeal and Tax Court of Canada, as well as before the Human Rights Tribunal (Ontario), Ontario Labour Relations Board, Assessment Review Board, Ontario Municipal Board, Child and Family Services Review Board and other education tribunals. She has also represented her clients on appeals and judicial reviews.

An avid traveller, Gaynor has visited six continents, attended university in three countries, and lived overseas. She is a volunteer with various organizations and has been on the Board of Directors of a non-profit daycare since 2005. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Metropolitan Toronto Lawyers’ Association, and The Advocates’ Society.
