Sheila MacKinnon, a lawyer experienced in all areas of education law and school board governance, will lead a discussion with Michael Barrett, Chair of Durham District School Board and Louise Sirisko, Director of Education for York Region District School Board to discuss the benefits of the Board of Trustees and School Board Administration working together to ensure student achievement and public confidence in education-  Trust with Respectful Oversight.


Friday January 18th


Sheila MacKinnon, a lawyer experienced in all areas of education law and school board governance,  will lead a discussion of best practices to ensure Boards have effective and productive meetings; the purpose of a Trustee Code of Conduct and how to avoid a complaint under it; and when Trustee emails may be subject to disclosure and a trustee's duty in complying with privacy legislation.
