If Dalhousie University expels the male students involved in a recent Facebook scandal, the school is likely to lose more money fending off lawsuits than if the men remain enrolled and donors who disagree cut their funding, says Toronto employment lawyer and Dalhousie alumnus Barry Goldman.
The CBC reports some alumni started pulling funding due to the school’s “weak response” to the controversy, which involves 13 male students alleged to be part of a Facebook group that contained misogynistic comments.
