Etobicoke, Ontario – October 26, 2016 – Six gold ceremonial shovels dug into the soil at 150 Berry Road on Thursday, October 20th, marking the commencement of construction of The Shoppes at Stonegate, a new 32,000 sq.ft. two-storey retail building being developed and constructed by VANDYK group of companies.

Located at the corner of Berry Road and Stephen Drive in the Sunnylea-Stonegate community of south Etobicoke, The Shoppes at Stonegate will be the retail anchor of VANDYK’s master-planned redevelopment, Backyard Neighbourhood Condos, which launched with much interest and success earlier this year.

“I’ve been a member of the Sunnylea community and a resident of this area for almost 25 years,” says Armand Conant, Treasurer and Board Member of the Berry Road Food Co-op. “The Berry Road Food Co-op in a nutshell represents a tremendous opportunity for the local community to get quality products at an affordable price. It’s going to be more than just a grocer, it’s going to be a grocer for the people.”
