Stephen is a partner at the Windsor office of the firm with more than 20 years of litigation experience, with a practice focused on commercial litigation and employment and labour law. He represents corporations, business owners, employers and individuals in complex disputes, providing practical, strategic advice and strong advocacy at every stage of the litigation process.

Stephen’s civil and commercial litigation practice encompasses a broad range of business and contractual disputes, debt claims, corporate conflicts and other complex commercial matters. He advises clients from the earliest stages of a dispute, including risk assessment and negotiated resolution, through mediation, arbitration and trial. His approach combines a thorough understanding of the law with a careful command of the underlying facts and the commercial realities facing his clients.

As a member of the firm's Education Law group, a significant portion of Stephen’s practice is devoted to employment and labour law, where he represents employers in both unionized and non-unionized workplaces. He advises employers on various workplace issues and represents them in litigation, arbitration and other administrative proceedings. His labour law experience includes disputes arising in unionized workplaces, while his broader employment practice encompasses contentious matters involving employers and employees in non-unionized settings.

Stephen is known for taking a practical, thorough and strategic approach to complex disputes. He works closely with his clients to understand their objectives, assess the legal and business risks they face, and develop effective strategies for resolving disputes efficiently while protecting their interests.

In addition to his legal practice, Stephen has taught Torts at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. He is a former Treasurer of the Windsor-Essex Bilingual Legal Clinic and a former board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters Windsor-Essex. He remains actively involved in the community as a youth hockey coach.
