Adam Lawson
Adam Lawson is a litigation associate in the Toronto office. He maintains a broad practice in general civil and commercial litigation, including experience with breach of contract, fraud, construction disputes, wrongful dismissal, municipal liability, insurance defence, estate litigation, and professional liability. Adam has represented clients before the Superior Court of Justice, Court of Appeal for Ontario, Supreme Court of Canada, and various provincial tribunals. He fulfilled his articling requirement through a clerkship at the Windsor Superior Court of Justice and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019.
Adam obtained his law degree from the University of Windsor where he received numerous academic awards, including for first place standing following his second year. He was also active in numerous extracurriculars including being a research assistant to a Professor and the Dean of Law, managing a team of editors with the University’s law review, volunteering with Legal Assistance of Windsor, a poverty law clinic, and winning two provincial and international advocacy competitions, including receiving an award for Best Overall Advocate. He received his Master of Laws from Columbia University in 2022 as a James Kent Scholar.
Prior to law school, Adam obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and Philosophy from Queen’s University. In his free time, Adam likes to exercise, socialize, and ponder how to best serve his clients.
